Sam was born and
raised in India, and from the time of his youth, he pursued
his passion for chemistry and invention. Sam’s education,
therefore, involved years of hard work and dedication,
achieving a MS in Chemistry and an MBA in Marketing and
Finance.
With $20 in his pocket, Sam Dhatt
and his wife, Renu, moved to the United States in 1988.
Renu was pregnant with the couple’s second child
and Sam knew he had to work hard to support not only himself,
but his growing family.
Sam Dhatt’s first big break into the cosmetics
formulation industry came shortly after the family’s
relocation. Sam was able to quickly obtain an entry-level
position in a cosmetic formulation company. His dedication
to his profession was quickly recognized and within only
a few short years, Sam Dhatt had become the lead chemist.
Sam’s introduction as a leader in innovative technology
begins with his work in 1992 with alpha hydroxy acids,
which was in its infancy at the time. AHA’s are
now one of the most popular ingredients found in skincare
products today.
In 1995, Sam Dhatt started his own cosmetics research
and development company, Allure Cosmetics, Inc., which
is especially known in the skincare industry as the leader
in creating innovative anti-aging products. In addition,
Allure Cosmetics, Inc. also supplies hair care, foot care,
spa products, cosmetic accessories and makeup to their
700 clients worldwide.
Sam Dhatt’s drive for innovation did not stop with
Allure Cosmetics, Inc. In 1999, Sam opened another company,
DermaQuest™ Skin Therapy. DermaQuest™ Skin
Therapy delivers the most advanced formulations available,
making the skincare company a leader in innovative technology.
Because of their reputation in the skincare industry,
